so i keep getting this anonymous poster who keeps posting the same thing over and over again on one of my oldest entries. i keep deleting it but still its annoying.
not much new around here. my temp job is over, so its back to retail until something else comes up. so this is the second christmas without a full time job. thats depressing. it seems like its always something. that life never gets to that "ahhh" stage. im not sure if its never going to do that or what?
i just want the stupid economy to turn around so that i can get a full time job being a graphic designer.
right now im the most overqualified employee at my work. i have 2 friggan degrees. thats more than everyone COMBINED at work. wow huh?
Time keeps ticking down to D-Day. are we going to be ready i hope so. i guess most people at this point (32 weeks) would have a nursery, but we dont. we have to move a lot of stuff around before that can happen.
i guess im just feeling like when life gets you down, life's friend is there to keep you in the ribs.

blah
so ive been feeling blah as of late. nothing really new is going on and im frustrated with my jobs, yes i still have 2.
i wish i could trade them in for 1 good full time job that i would enjoy. but alas in today's economy that seems too much to ask.
so we get home tonight and there is a car parked on the sidewalk infront of our building. 2 wheels on the side walk 2 wheels on the road. this is stupid. there is ample parking and somebody thinks that they are way too important to be inconvenienced with parking in a space designed for CARS.
this has been a pet peeve of mine for years. people parking to "jump out" and get a redbox movie, or run into a grocery store, post office, pharmacy, fast food...etc.
why must these people think that they are "The Exception". they obviously see that others use the parking lot, thats what its there for. but what goes through there mind to justify there actions? "well I dont NEED to park...it'll just be a minute"
they call it a fire lane for a reason.
okay enough of that.
cool website ive found recently:
TodaysBigThing.com
it posts a video daily, usually cool or funny in some way enjoy.

baby on board

so its been a while. i took a little vaca from blogging. we moved, ive been working 7 days a week for a long time and my down time is precious so i use it. but here is a pic of our little one. its actually kinda old now this was taking a few weeks ago. but its still cool. when we got the ultrasound we got to see the baby's heart beat and it wiggled, which was exciting. miriam tells me that now the baby is the size of a lemon, which could fit in your hand.
we went to babies r us the other day, for 2 hours. just looking. i got tired of it towards the end. but i think i would get tired of being at best buy for 2 hours also. there are sooo many unnecessary things there, its crazy.
so im really into dexter, the tv show, now. we have it on netflix.
im still working in alton for 20 hours a week, and doing my retail job.
although the retail job is getting ever so tiresome. i pray a full time job comes soon. before i lose my mind.

Additional Job
its a new job but im still doing retail on the side.
for the next 4 weeks (at least) im the inhouse graphic designer/consultant for a non profit organization in Alton, IL.
its a bit of a drive but hey its an alright gig. im pretty much a one man show right now, which ive never been. i get handed gobs of text documents and i have to design them into books that are easier to read and somewhat interesting.
so i design presentations and requests for bid (books to hand to potential clients)
yup. its consistent hours and i dont have to stand up all day. :)
i think we are going to go shopping for jeans tonight, because i need new ones. all but one pair have holes in them, thanks retail :)
im out.

learning curb.
yea i know its "curve" that was intentional.
so im reteaching and expounding upon my current html/css knowledge. its tedious to do, but i am learning.
i was able to fix some things that had really been bothering me with my blog layout.
like how it cut off photos and videos on the right side. bugged the heck outta me.
but now thats fixed. soooo much more to learn though.
havent really gotten into css yet mainly focusing on html today.
which for the general populace is completly a foreign language. think of it as the building blocks of the internet and CSS as the legos, well the more adult technic legos.
yup
