Incredible

i literally just finished watching the documentary "supersize me". i recommend that everyone sees this. i knew that fast food was bad, but never in my wildest dreams could i have imagined that it can actually kill you. this movie also hits on the "healthy" alternatives that the fast food industry has recently put out. i say "healthy" because most are still outrageous in calories and sugar.
in this documentary nutritionists say that people should only go out to eat (fast food) once a month at most.
it also hits on some other really important issues: school food, marketing strategies, hidden facts...etc
please before your next drive thru meal, watch this film. it just might change your life, for the better.

OH YEAH?
so ive been thinking a while about the kool-aid commercials from the 90's and here are my thoughts.
1. if parents knew that every time that they made kool-aid for their kids that kool-aid man was going to burst through a wall in their house ruining at least one room possibly more, shouldnt it be time to serve a DIFFERENT DRINK. i mean come on. the neighborhood is literally being demolished by drink, oh well, what flavor do you want?
2. was there more than one kool-aid person? i mean if there was one giant animate pitcher of kool-aid how many were there really? was there a whole hidden society? which brings me to my next question.
3. was the kool-aid man anti kool-aid people? here we have a giant animate pitcher of kool-aid encouraging children of all ages to DRINK KOOL-AID? is this sadistic? i mean im not calling him a cannibal, for we never see him drinking kool-aid, but he still wants other people too.
these were the thoughts i had also i thought about the prizes that they listed. you theoretically would collect kool-aid points and then send them in with money to receive prizes. i saw these pages all over comic books and i always wanted that stuff. event though to get the prizes you would not only have to drink a swimming pools worth, but you would also have to bathe in it.

Fixed...
well sort of. the maintenance guy came a couple days ago and plugged it up. but now more often then not when the air conditioner runs it "gurgles" so now im wondering if it is just slowly filling up with water. which surely wouldnt be good for anyone. i dont have time this morning because i need to leave for work, but i do have a least 2 more post i need to get out of my head soon.
oh and while im updating things the pillow is still in the tree.

...a little problem
this is what i saw as i opened the door to the laundry/air system closet thing. we seemed to have sprung a leak. either we are slowly sinking or our air conditioner is having some bladder control issues.
either way not good.
this is one of several things i need to call maintenance about.
1. the fan/light in the second bedroom stopped working.
2. the window in the master bedroom doesnt seal properly.
3. the whole taking on water thing.
and before you comment about it, no its not a breaker thrown with the light. i checked those. none were flipped.
we rented bicentennial man at blockbuster the other night. i tried to watch it tonight. the key word being tried. i hate it when you rent a dvd and you get it back and its all screwed up. i mean come on, dont they check these things? first it took numerous times o failed loading before it actually played. then it kept stuttering through parts. and on the second freeze up, i gave up.
i really wanted to watch it too. i saw it back in the theater when it first came out. i liked it then.
we did a major cleaning tonight in preparation of miriam's parents coming tomorrow. i cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed, straightened, helped with dishes, ...etc.
our home looks great.
i tried to hang some mirrors we bought at ikea, yes ikea. i open them up they have the brackets but no screws. i looked in the instruction book. yes they are crazy squiggly mirrors, so i guess they need a book. well it says in there that screws are not included. thanks a lot. i couldve really used that info on the OUTSIDE of the box. that way i would have bought screws.
so i guess ill hang them this weekend. if i get screws.

wine of a different flavor
on saturday miriam and i stopped at this cozy little winery just outside of Redbud IL. we really hadnt planned on it but saw it coming back to St.Louis and stopped. ive been to several wineries in Illinois but have never really found a wine that i like. just too much "alcohol" taste.
well we walked in miriam did some tastings, i didnt want to since i typically dont like wine. the lady helping us asked me if i liked sweet or dry. i said sweet really sweet.
so she recommended the raspberry wine and the strawberry wine. i did and i must say i really liked them.so yes i have found wine that i like but just not GRAPE wine. odd huh?
the raspberry wine is from New Jersey, Alba Vinyard. its award winning. about $15 per bottle. they also make apple wine, blueberry wine. im really tempted to order some. i mean if i like their raspberry, i might like their other non-grape wines lol.
check it out its yummy.
