the best can opener in the world

this ladies and gentlemen is the greatest can opener in the world. not only is it easy to use it doesnt "cut" the metal it actually pulls the lid off the can. and unlike other can openers where getting it started is a trial of wits this one is as easy as sitting it on top of the can.

why do i plug this thing? well we bought one about a month ago and we love it. i am recommeding everyone get one its only like 14 bucks and you'll thank me really you will.

its pretty warm today, correction its a beautiful and warm day. we went to church, the grocery store, and i helped miriam make an awsome apple pie. i cut up the apples :)

we rented disc three of season one house. its a cool show kinda a mix of er and csi (the good one, not miami). well more later

pillow still in the tree.

p.s. if your reading leave a comment, its nice.

The job hunt continues...

despite a really good interview it seems i will not be getting that job. I really liked the idea of working there. it was a nice place, nice people, but alas...

anywhoo he said really good things about me and my portfolio its just i dont meet everything he wants. understandable i wouldn't want someone expecting something of me that i dont do. so if that last sentence even made sense, yea....

last night we saw hot fuzz. hilarious movie. i mean it, its a great movie. by the same guys who created shawn of the dead, another sleeper hit. hopefully this one will be more successful in the US (its a british film). regardless ill buy it on DVD. i still need to get shawn of the dead. i have a burn but i want it for "real".

ummm what else was i going to say?....

welll i cooked chicken on the grill the other night it was really good GRILL MASTER!
and our apt is finally looking really nice (except for the second bedroom)

but it really went well and i think i have a good chance of getting the job. but we will find out next week.

all over the place!

ok so there has been this thing hung up in a tree ever since i moved here in january and until recently had no earthly clue of what it is. that is until the other day. the wind had been blowing quite a bit and turns out its a purple throw pillow! in a tree? what the heck. just to let everyone know its still there ill keep you informed to any changes in that situation.

yup, a throw pillow.

also the other day we went to lacledes landing (riverfront st. louis) for lunch. we just so happened to come accross one of the rarest happenings, so i had to take a picture, 2 pictures actually.

yes this is a bus stuck under a train overpass, the metrolink to be correct. i had managed to get through until its back double axle. the old people on the bus looking clueless was pricesless but i felt to sorry for them to take their pictures.

Heres a close up just to show that is indeed smashed up against the ceiling of the overpass.

i cooked brats on our grill the other night. delish. so the grill works great and we are very happy with it. hopefully it will get a lot of use this summer. cookouts, get togethers, steaks, brats, chicken...ill try it all. GRILL MASTER!

also we bought some of those "space bags" you've probably seen them on tv. well let me tell you they are AWESOME. they really do save space. i would reccomend them. we got 2 large and one super or mega whatever... well we got them on sale they were like 60% off and so we figured its worth a shot cause the large were only 5 dollars and the big one was 8.

man i should get paid for this advertising.

because nobody asked for it...

so the name of my blog is "random thoughts return" why you ask?

well ill tell you.

a couple years ago i had a blog called you guessed it "random thoughts". this blog went on for months and was a success for the most part. i lost interest in it and it fell wayside. i went back many months later to discover that it was a horrible blog. it wasnt very pretty, nobody read it, and it just wasnt that easy to use.

so when i made my new and improved blog i thought i would keep the original title but update it.

and now for a bit of randomness:

I hate kraft singles. they are to cheese what bizzaro is to superman. they sort of look like cheese, but really are just a horrible look a like. I used to hate it when i would go over to friends houses and thats all the "cheese", and i use that term loosly, they would have. and i dont blam my friends, for how could they know that they were indeed eating the "evil cheese substitute" they couldnt.

i blam the parents.

and you might think that i am over reacting but i am not. have you ever seen the stuff melt??? its like molten plastic, or better yet yellow gak. and stop trying to deny remembering gak, i know you all do.

im just making this plea... please for the sake of the children dont buy kraft singles and if you have them in your fridge THROW THEM OUT.

give them real cheese.

together we can make the world "a kraft single free place to live".

oh and i should have 2 interviews this week. HOORAY!

p.s I'm pretty sure that Jesus hated kraft singles too.

I is getting better. really it is. just not to the level of inviting anyone over.

tonight we are going to an office party. its a party where we are getting together with people to watch funny episodes of "the office". cool we've never done this so hopefully it will be fun.

Bed Bath and Beyond

Holy Cow!
we just went and got alot of the stuff that was left on our registry. we had 2 carts full of stuff it was crazy. i have never bought so much at one time. we had a receipt that was in no exaggeration 4 feet long it came up to a grand total of over $1000 but then they took 20 percent off and with all the gift cards from the wedding we only paid $386.18. pretty cool. we bought a dyson one of those super vacs, so im pretty eager to try it. i also found a mirror by the dumpster when we came home so i grabbed that. Its a glass one from a vanity, ill just get it out of the frame and throw that away.

isnt it wierd thats its called a "vanity mirror" isnt vanity something that should be avoided lol.
oh well

to bed....

hi ho silver AWAY!!!!

happy easter

we went to miriams parents for the weekend it was a good trip. we played games, ate good food, and just relaxed. plus we got to sleep in a king sized bed. man that thing is like HUGE. if we put that in our bedroom thats all that would be in there.
not really but almost.
we went to see radar the worlds tallest horse but missed him by 30 minutes. i wish they would have advertised that in the ad. we thought he was going to be there all day. so we drove 30 min just to see the pen he was in. this is him incase anyone wanted to see a pic:

he is huge he stands 6'7.5" at the withers (tallest point on back right before his neck) he weighs over 2400lbs. needless to say hes no pony.

i just finished off the last piece of wedding cheesecake last night. it was a little dry but delicious!
so we are not going to mexico this week...awww i know.
yea it sucks.

theres many reasons. 1. if i leave for a week and a company calls me for an interview, it wouldnt be good. 2. passports STILL havent come in. 3. we need to save money because we dont know when ill get a job.

i think we are making the best choice. we will probably go on a weekend trip for a little honeymoon and take the real one later.

its cold in our apt. like 59 degrees. i refuse to turn the heat on because ITS APRIL. so we are just bundling up. :)

i saw the movie "the departed" the other night. it was ok. i wouldnt say that it was as good as everyone talked about. i mean it was a good suspencful movie, but i think it got rave reveiws becasue scorcese made it. the ending was crappy i thought.

i watched night at the museum and i dont know why people didnt like the movie. it was entertaining, had good morals, good story. i liked it. i thought it was really creative. and i would recommend it to anyone. especially families with kids.

yep well i gotta shop for tires for miriams car so bye for now.

still no job. just to update.

ok ok ok

i know i havent written on my blog for over a week and some of you out there are just going nuts about it. i really didnt know that so many people actually read my blog. it would be nice if more than two people commented, you know just to let me know that people are enjoying the random things that i write on the glorious internets.

soooooo where to begin...

well im married now, yes i did survive. but barely i will be honest i was the most nervous that i have ever been in my life. i was shaking and out of breath. i wanted to run away. really. not because i didnt want to get married dont get me wrong, but because i knew that if i left my nerves would go back to normal, and not be in freak out mode.
but yes the service was wonderful and everything went great. at least thats what everyone keeps telling us, so ill believe them.

and the wedding night was...

ha! you thought id tell you about that.

last week went pretty well, we goot miriam all moved in and byt that i mean stuff is still everywhere lol. it just hard to find places for everything in this "cozy" apartment.

work was as usual until thursday...when i got laid off. yep nice huh. i did say laid off. i got severance for the month of april but still less then a week after i got married BANG no job.

so needless to say my lovely wife and i are gooing through things that most newly weds do not.

so i was pretty bottled up and emotionless about everything until friday night when i kinda let everything out.

we went down to carbondale saturday morning it was my mothers birthday. it was nice to get away and see my family. i told them and now i think they are realy worried about me. i mean im not worried cause i know that a job will come. God will take care of us He always does.

i sent my resume and some samples out to a couple of companies yesterday so im waiting to hear back.

we went rollerblading yesterday afternoon. i love rollerblading. then we went to worldmarket and got some cool lights see.

then we went to trader joes, i had never been there before. its kinda like a co-op.

what does co-op stand for. miriam and i tried to figure it out and the best we came up with is cooperation and collaberative operation. i dont know if either are correct.

im hungry i havent eaten breakfast yet.

its thundering outside which means itll probably rain today...im a weatherman.
