im so tired... i feel completely drained right now. but on the plus side i have a temporary full time gig this week.

oh and we are starting our move today and hopefully will be done on Saturday. we are in the boxing stage. putting things in boxes, not hitting each other lol. kinda weird to think in another 5 days we will live in another city.

Gas is actually $1.98 here. this is insane i never thought it would be this low again. and the worst thing is that my tank is full. i guess thats not terrible. but still its a surprise. i hope it keeps going lower, as does all america.

on a side note Gears of War 2 comes out tomorrow! IM STOKED!

Super power?

so let me tell you of this ability that, i realized this morning, i possess. i havent come up with a fancy name for it yet, but it involves breaking things on the kitchen floor. before today i thought that it was just clumsiness, but the pieces came together just a while ago, no pun intended. since getting married i have broken a bowl, a jug of ice tea, a jar of strawberry jam, and this morning a jar of salsa. we have almost lived in this apartment for 2 years and that averages out 1 major break every 6 months.

so here is what happened this morning. im cleaning house, being a good husband. i just get through vacuuming the kitchen and a thought popped in my head, clean behind the fridge. so i pull out the fridge and its gross. i vacuum and then take a rag and clean the stains. ahhh much better. i then roll the fridge back into place. i open the door to make sure i didn't unplug it and KA-CRASH.

broken glass and salsa everywhere. im in bare feet and can move. i barely reach the trashcan to pull it over and begin clean up.

on the positive side i was toying with whether or not i should mop. and boom its answered.

like i said a super power.

side note as an honorable mention i broke one of our best wine glasses in the sink washing it. not on the floor but still in the kitchen.

High in what again?

so for breakfast this morning i ate this new quaker instant oatmeal high fiber. it didnt really taste any different. a little more "fibery" if that makes sense. like filling. but what some people call high fiber it has resulted in high in farts for me. man i have had gas somethin' fierce. so your welcome to try it, im just saying this warning.

There be farts in yonder box o' oatmeal.

so we just got back from blockbuster. And we're probably not going back for a long time. Back in september they went to a new system for prices. Hot new releases (within the first month of release): $5, New releases (after a month) $4, and old releases $1 to $2. this was ok because we were just going to wait. and wait we did, a month and a week for "run fat boy run". well when we rented it tonight it was $5. well they did away with the "hot new release" and just bumped all new releases up to $5. THIS IS REDONKULOUS!

so we are going to continue going to the library. and last friday we rented from Movie Cube

Its a redbox clone at schnucks. Its a dollar a day and they have new releases.

plus when the New Xbox Experience comes Nov 17 we might get netflix if its cheap. i havent researched it yet.

DISASTER STRIKES

so saturday night i spilled a little water on my computer screen. I freaked, of course. so ive been drying it in our storage room since saturday night. so water has gotten under the protective layer and at first covered nearly the entire screen. so after the drying time its now down to this. still very scary as to replace the screen if it doesnt "fix" itself is going to cost, ohhhh upward of $600+. depending on if i try to fix it myself or take it to a repair place (im scared to call them). so pray for my poor computer. its needs it.

new header

ok so i didnt waste any time making the new header and i think that i really adds some spice. i recommend more people do it. still comment on the new look though. YEAH

Im trying something new

i feel that the look of my blog has become stale so im trying a new color palette. im also going to be replacing the title with a custom graphic when i make it. let me know what you think of the change cause i save my old look just in case.

its a goatee its like a week and a half old. testing it out to see if i like it. caleb said i should be a youth minister cause they always have them. im not sure about that either lol.

So there was this guy we watched for a while. He was flying a R/C glider. it was pretty cool most of the time he could fly it right back to his hand and catch it. he did a loop, that was impressive. it looked like fun. i want one lol.

been a while...

lots of things have happened since my last post. i got this cool universal remote:
its sweet. we have gone to carbondale twice.
watched the olympics. eaten food. committed to hosting an ABS (area bible study) for freshman. eating food. lost my job.

oh yea i lost my job. last monday. it sucks. wouldnt recommend it to anyone. not fun.

so quess what im doing now? no i havent taking up skydiving. im job hunting. which isnt fun either. but i have to.

it was my nephews second birthday on saturday. so we went down for that. he was sick so he would have fun for a couple hours. meds wear off, crying, sick, take more meds, happy again. so not the best birthday for him but he still had a good time and he made off with some good loot. deluxe mister potato head, swing set, bubble mower. so he will have lots of fun when hes healthy again. but it ws kinda sad since none of his little friends came because of it. he ran like a 103 fever. crazy huh?

i also had a fun gun weekend with my dad a couple of weeks ago, miriam shot here first gun. ill post pictures tonight.

we came home last night and my neighbor's finance was coming out of their apartment and said that he was at the hospital. he had his gall bladder removed or something. so he had a fun weekend.

yep thats about all for now.

Our new Digital converter

so i called for those coupons for the digital converters a while back. we got them like almost three months ago and i finally went to best buy and bought one last sunday. i hooked it up yesterday and its pretty cool. i mean the picture is so clear its like we have cable or something. i didnt think it would be this good. we dont have to move the antenna anymore, we have rabbit ears and now we have the "ears" closed. they telescope. and im not complaining about the additional channels. i recommend getting one. we got the insignia Model: NS-DXA1-APT, it gets an A+ from us. i really want an HD tv, but this is better then nothin :)

Percy the miracle kitten

So my moms kitten, Percy, got attacked by a red tailed hawk, on July 3rd.

The kitten is about the size of a squirrel. so miracle one the hawk didn't kill him and carry him away. so he suffered lacerations to his head, right ear and neck. the poor guys face was really swollen too, he was bad off. when my parents took him to the vet he was barely breathing and pooping all over the place. they gave him a 20% chance of making it. when we got into town and saw him he could barely lift his head. this is what we saw.

he made it through the night, and was purring in the morning. he started eating little by little, and eventually had enough strength to use his litter box. i took these pictures on sunday before we left.

Floss

so i was told by a dentist when i was younger that if i was to floss for 2 weeks my gums would stop bleeding, when i floss that is. so i've been flossing for at least 2 months and finally it happened today. my gums didn't bleed. it was kinda a moment. i mean my gums have always bled.

mega movie review

so i havent reviewed any movies lately but im about to change that. these are the movies that we have seen lately some old some new. and im about to give you the low down.


iron man. by far the best movie that i have seen this year. it is amazing. this movie is pretty close to being flawless. its production, acting and special effects are top notch and its just a great movie to watch. 5 out of 5



we went and saw this 2 weeks ago i think. it was really funny. jack black is great. this is probably dreamworks best animated film to date. i think it blows shrek away as far as animation and the story is solid and will age better then shrek. 4.5 out of 5



snatch is an older film now but i had never seen it. its a guy richie film. same guy who did lock, stock, and two smoking barrels, good film, but snatch is better. its faster hold your attention better. its the spiritual successor. 3 out of 5


i really didnt want to watch this movie but it was a free rental. that didnt save it. i really cant recommend this movie to anyone. its long, boring, and completely speculation. yea im all for hoping they were heroes but, we dont know, so its like any other piece of fiction. 1 out of 5


i thought the first one was really entertaining and i think this one was too. i like the formula of the main characters. its a little old that they attribute everything to the masons, and that cage always has all the answers but they actually dealt with that . its fun. 3.5 out of 5



27 dresses. hmmm what to say. predictable? check. cheesy dialog? check. frustratingly stupid characters? check. complete and under waste? check. 1 out of 5



Charlie Wilson's War. Part documentary. part movie. Pretty much all boring. it was slow. it has its moments but i wish it went one way or the other. either be a documentary or be a movie. it teased info but was just shallow. 2.5 out of 5


this movie miriam wanted to see, so we rented it. it was entertaining, the best part is that disney was poking fun at itself. the story was predictable but i think it was supposed to be. and the acting was good too. 3.5 out of 5
