So my moms kitten, Percy, got attacked by a red tailed hawk, on July 3rd. 
The kitten is about the size of a squirrel. so miracle one the hawk didn't kill him and carry him away. so he suffered lacerations to his head, right ear and neck. the poor guys face was really swollen too, he was bad off. when my parents took him to the vet he was barely breathing and pooping all over the place. they gave him a 20% chance of making it. when we got into town and saw him he could barely lift his head. this is what we saw.
he made it through the night, and was purring in the morning. he started eating little by little, and eventually had enough strength to use his litter box. i took these pictures on sunday before we left.

that's a crazy story. btw, i saw the dark knight at 12:01 friday morning. it was pretty good but not as awesome as the hype. maybe i was expecting too much. plus it was so late i probably couldn't have enjoyed it fully. anyway, just thought you'd like to know. you seen it yet?
