a true sign of the apocalypse

so i listen to the radio on itunes at work during the day. i switch between classical guitar, comedy and christian stations. so back to the point of this post.


i dont really understand the trend lately for christian artists to take a "secular" song and just resing it and try to make it sound more "christian".

they dont change the words just sing it... worse.

i think its sickening, really. if the radio stations want to play that song then play the original. i dont see how a different person singing it makes it a different song. same words same meaning, just different sound.

the latest one i heard prompted me to make this post.

evanescence is a really cool band. i like their sound i have some of their music, and most of the songs have what seem to be a underlying christian shadow, so to speak.

so i was listening to, i forget what station it was but, a christian itunes station. and all of a sudden "bring me to life" comes on but it sounds horrible.

its not evanescence, that made me upset. because it wasnt just some song cover it was a cover of a really good song that i have.




oh and thats not even the worst part.
