4.5 stars out of 5

We saw Spiderman 3 on saturday night. i liked it, it was a good movie. it had some flaws, but what movie doesnt? im sure that there will be some fanboys out there that with curse it up and done because of changes from the comics. but it i think that directors should be allowed some creative changes as long as they make sense. some movies that show when directors "go bad" is X3, Punisher, Electra, Spawn, all crappy movies that someone on the staff should have punched the director in the face when they read the script. i guess punched the script writer too.

I had a wonderful birthday. thanks to my parents, laura, tim and eli, caleb and keli, oh yea and my wonderful wife.

while i think 4.5 stars is generous...quite generous actually, i will say that i enjoyed the movie (while it may have only earned 3-ish stars from me, it WAS entertaining)and i enjoyed the whole viewing experience. (i love watching movies at the theater!)
it was entertaining. and the company was good. add in significantly cheaper ticket prices (as compared to louisville, ky) and the fact that they serve mr. pibb, plus free refills and you've got a fun saturday night!

i'm not yelling at the OP here, but i just feel the need to go on a 'nerd rant' for a minute. you have to look at it like this: a movie based on comics is never going to be done exactly as it plays out in the comic itself (Sin City is the exception because it is, excuse the language, fucking perfect). you have to look at the comic and the movie as two seperate stories, otherwise you'll be disappointed almost every time. take it for what it is and the experience should go alot smoother for said viewer. (note: the X-Men movies are exceptions to this rule and should be hated by each and every person on the planet.)
also, a movie experience should never be based on what the concession stand does or does not sell. unless of course you were drug to 'Material Girls' by the girl you were dating at the time because you screwed up BIGTIME. speaking from personal experience of course. only then can you utter the phrase, 'well, at least they had free refills of Mr. Pibb.'

sincerely yours,
Jack Champaign
